Following a recent review of the usage of HMRC’s Inland Border Facilities, they can now confirm that the Inland Border Facilities at Warrington and Ebbsfleet will be closing.
The Warrington IBF site will be closing to all customers from 23:59 on 13th November 2022
The Ebbsfleet IBF will also be closing to all customers from 23:59 on 27th November 2022
The sites were originally introduced to support new customs processes when the UK left the EU. As Sevington and Holyhead sites are now open and fully operational, HMRC no longer require these sites as all services are available through Sevington and Holyhead.
As HMRC move towards the closure of the sites, they would encourage you to start using either Sevington or Holyhead with immediate effect.
